Vendors Time Honored Tradition of Bountiful Food, Unique Crafts and Games at the 77th North Carolina Strawberry Festival Vendors from across the country will provide a great variety of food and crafts for the enjoyment of everyone attending this year’s festival. Approximately seventy-five vendors will exhibit various items in a flea market atmosphere. These items will include candles, jewelry, handcrafted woodwork, western wear, crafted glassware and art. Types of food that can be enjoyed this year will consist of Mediterranean style, blooming onions, funnel cakes, pizza, subs, seafood gumbo, BBQ or just good old fashioned hot dogs or hamburgers. For the children we have The Great Smokey Mountain Amusement Rides coming to the festival on Wednesday and lasting thru festival day. These events will be located at the Vendor Field near the Food Lion Shopping Center. Come out and enjoy a complete day of fun and relaxation as we celebrate the 78th Annual North Carolina Strawberry Festival on May 1sr. Home of North Carolina’s oldest agriculture festival.
The North Carolina Strawberry Festival Chadbourn, NC 28431 Dear Vendor, Welcome to the 2010 North Carolina Strawberry Festival. Last year's festival had an attendance in excess of 15,000 festival goers. We expect this year's festival to be even larger and would like for you to be involved. The fee for food vendors (vendors who are inspected by health department) will be $225.00 and no more than six food vendors will be accepted, non-health department inspected food vendors will be 125.00, craft vendors $100.00 and roving carts will be $40.00 per cart. Tables will be available @ $10.00 each if needed. Cash, money orders or certified checks will be accepted, no personal checks. The festival will provide on site water. Limited electrical power is available; please contact us for additional information. Once the power outlets are filled you will need to provide your own source of electricity. Please apply early if you need power. Due to complaints from the bands, clowns and other participants, vendors will not be able to sell silly string, spray putty or anything of its likeness. Health inspectors will be on site the day of the festival and all of their requirements must be met (Health Department application and requirement sheet included). If you do not comply with the above, you will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund. ***Please remember to complete the TEMPORARY FOOD SERIVCE PERMIT APPLICATION and mail along with fee of $50.00 to the Columbus County Health Department*****. Registration will be at the vendor grounds beside Food Lion shopping center on Strawberry Blvd. between the hours of 7:30 and 9:00 AM. For early setup on Friday, April 30th, please contact me at the below telephone number. Your location will be provided at this time. If you wish to participate in this year's festival, please complete the enclosed application for food by March 26, 2010 and for craft vendors by April 15th. Additional craft vendors may be accepted if space is available after this date.
